Beginning April 1st, start your crawl by visiting any participating bookstore to pick up your free passport. Then, during the entire month of April, collect a unique stamp when you visit each different bookstore and earn prizes when you reach specific milestones!

Visit seven (7) participating independent bookstores and claim your free audiobook from Libro.fm at the 7th store you visit. Ask the bookseller to scan the QR Code to redeem your reward!
TIER 2: FREE POSTER!
Journey through fifteen (15) participating independent bookstores and you’ll be eligible to collect a free commemorative poster celebrating the 2026 Greater Charlotte Book Crawl! As a bonus, each shop has been given $25 Hawthorne’s Pizza Gift Cards for the first ten (10) crawlers to complete this level at each bookshop!
TIER 3: FREE TOTE BAG!
Visit all (25) participating independent stores and earn a free commemorative 2026 tote bag! Finishers will also have the opportunity to enter to win this year’s grand prize.
Win the Grand Prize!
Finishers of the book crawl may choose to enter themselves to win the Grand Prize. This Grand Prize winner will be selected at random from the entrants and receive one $20 gift card from each participating store for a total actual retail value of $500, plus a $250 gift card from our sponsor, Hawthorne’s Pizza! The deadline to enter is April 30, 2026. Finishers may submit their passport through the QR code on the bottom of their passport or by uploading manually through the button below.

By submitting an entry, participants are bound by these Official Rules and acknowledge that they satisfy all sweepstakes eligibility requirements.

Eligibility. You must be a legal resident of the United States of America and 18 years or older at time of entry. The owners of the 25 stores taking part in the Greater Charlotte Book Crawl and their immediate family and household members are not eligible to enter or win. “Immediate family members” shall mean parents, step-parents, children, step-children, siblings, step-siblings, grandchildren, step-grandchildren, or spouses, regardless of where they live. “Household members” shall mean people who share the same residence at least three consecutive months a year, whether related or not.
How to Enter. Complete the passport for the Greater Charlotte Book Crawl with stamps or stickers from all 25 stores. Upload a picture of the completed passport (both sides) with your name and contact information as directed on the passport. Passports can be obtained at any of the participating stores or by downloading and printing a copy from the Greater Charlotte Book Crawl website. Stamps or stickers can be obtained from each store by making a purchase of any amount or on request. NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO OBTAIN EACH STORE’S STAMP OR STICKER. Limit one entry per person. Multiple entries will be disqualified.
Prizes. One Grand Prize of (25) $20 gift certificates. Each gift certificate may only be used at the issuing store and, except as required by law, cannot be redeemed for cash. The odds of winning are dependent upon the number of eligible entries received.
Prize Drawing. One Grand Prize of (25) $20 gift certificates (ARV $500) will be awarded. All entries must be received by 11:59pm on April 30, 2026. The drawing will be held on or about May 5, 2026, and the winners will be notified by May 8, 2026.
